Symmetria for Horses

 Symmetria Animal Stress Reduction Therapy for Equines, Companion Animals, and Livestock.

"Taking animal massage to the next level"

Symmetria™ is an holistic animal stress reduction strategy requiring the therapist’s engagement with the equine energy centers and personal meditative practice. Symmetria™ is adapted for horses from the Japanese acupressure system of Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Symmetria is based on the principle that each of us is made up of subtle energies that can be affected by the systematic application of touch and relevant essential oils. These subtle energies constitute a bio-field that can be detected anywhere on the surface of the body using an electrocardiogram. The bio-field extends several feet away from the body. Injuries and their residual toxins, along with unprocessed trauma, can cause disruptions and blockages in the energy system. These blockages, in turn, cause illness and mental distress. Our environment is so clogged with pollutants such as the heavy metals, PCPs in our food, and the petrochemicals in the air we breathe that all of us - along with our animals - suffer increasingly from energy blockages and toxicity that affect our mental health and physical well being.

Symmetria applies a system of acupressure to the equine energy centers (equine, canine, caprine, etc) and the major muscle groups. This is designed to dispel blockages in the bio-field, and to address pain and adhesions in the soft tissue promoting health and natural balance.

Primary Benefits: Symmetria Therapy provides comfort and relaxation, aids recovery time, may stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms, will compliment all health programs. It also provides comfort and relaxation in a non-threatening and safe manner, so it is the perfect compliment to all health-related sessions and times of high stress–-veterinary, farrier, chiropractic, confinement situations, travel, and performance situations.

Symmetria may be beneficial in the following ways:

Improving circulation
Reducing stress
Recovery from trauma {i.e. Rescue horses and dogs}

NOTE: Symmetria™ is an holistic animal stress reduction therapy and is in no way to be regarded as a substitute for veterinary medicine.
